High-Performance Polyurethane Film

American Polyfilm’s high-performance film (TPU) is engineered to deliver exceptional durability, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance in a wide range of industrial and specialty applications. This performance TPU film withstands harsh environments, thanks to its outstanding mechanical strength and ability to resist environmental and chemical aggression. Made from thermoplastic polyurethane, it offers excellent hydrolytic stability and UV resistance, ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

The comparative data tables below provide insights into how our polyurethane film performs against various compounds, solvents, oils, and fuels. All testing was conducted at room temperature.

Please Note: Chemical resistance typically improves as the material's durometer increases.

Comparison Chart of Polyurethane Film to Other Flexible Materials*

Our TPU films, available in both polyether and polyester grades, outperform traditional materials in abrasion resistance, moisture resistance, chemical compatibility, and low-temperature flexibility. These characteristics make them especially well-suited for performance apparel, UV shielding applications, managing electrical properties, and lamination techniques in harsh conditions.
